Twin Peaks Real Estate

Located on the eastern slopes of San Francisco's Twin Peaks, the neighborhood of Twin Peaks is a residential neighborhood in the geographic center of the city. In addition to fabulous views, the area is an interesting mix of curving streets on steep inclines that are linked by pedestrian walkways and stairs and lined with Mid-century era condominiums, townhouses, and single-family homes.

Much of the Twin Peaks neighborhood is dominated by open space surrounding the summit, and some of the most spectacular views in San Francisco can be had from Twin Peaks. Residents have easy access to the roads and trails flanking the peaks and leading to the summit, meaning they just need to lace up their hiking boots or climb aboard their bikes and head out the door for a pleasant Saturday morning workout. Although there are no restaurants or shops in Twin Peaks, there is plenty of action (including Safeway, Whole Foods, clubs, and loads of eateries) in the adjoining neighborhoods of Diamond HeightsThe Castro, and Noe Valley.

Condominiums and townhomes dominate the housing scene in Twin Peaks, although there are a few clusters of single-family homes. Most of the homes and condos in Twin Peaks have a contemporary Mid-century Modern vibe. The steep slopes of the area results in some pretty interesting architecture with buildings clinging to the hillsides; and these same slopes provide many homes with some great views of surrounding San Francisco.
