Careful development has kept Tiburon's coastal beauty intact throughout its long, colorful history. The city has a number of building policies to regulate new construction, and honor the aesthetics of the city's oldest buildings. Tiburon Community Amenities
Tiburon is one of the most affluent communities in the Bay Area, and an ideal place to live if you're looking for a high-end home with a view of San Francisco. The hills along the southern tip of the Tiburon peninsula are covered with terraced view properties overlooking the big city and the Golden Gate Bridge. Downtown Tiburon is situated at the ocean's edge, and is packed with charming international restaurants, fancy shops, and outdoor bars. There is also a small shopping center, called The Cove, in the Bel Aire neighborhood. Local residents enjoy quick access to San Francisco, and undeveloped Angel Island State Park, via ferries from downtown Tiburon.
Although Tiburon is considered a small town by every measure, there's still plenty to see and do here once moving to the area. Every Thursday in the spring, summer, and fall is a community Farmer's Market that's widely considered to be one of the best in Marin County, and the undeveloped Angel Island State Park is also only a short ferry ride away, which features plenty of hiking and biking trails, not to mention incredible panoramic views of San Francisco.
