Stewarts Point Real Estate

Stewarts Point is the last official town before reaching Sea Ranch when driving north on the Pacific Coast Highway along the scenic Sonoma County coastline.  Located at the intersection of Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Road and the Pacific Coast Highway (Hwy 1), about 26 miles north of Jenner, Stewarts Point  began with a post office, store, and hotel.  Today, not much has changed in this quiet coastal village!

Present day Stewarts Point is a tiny community with a small population.  The General Store, which dates back to 1868, still stands and is a popular stop for travelers as well as a supply station for Stewarts Point residents; and the post office serves the needs of locals just as it did in the 1800s when the post office and the town around it were called Fisherman's Bay

Stewarts Point is in a remote corner of Sonoma County and homes are few and far between.  Most of the area is coastal ranchland set between the redwood forests and Pacific Ocean or densely forested coastal mountains.  Most homes, of which there are few, in Stewarts Point are isolated farmhouses or cabins.

Stewarts Point is a sparsely populated area in a ruggedly beautiful part of Sonoma County.  If you have a desire to get away from it all, buying a piece of real estate in Stewarts Point will offer you all the privacy and seclusion that money can buy.

Stewarts Point Homes for Sale

Stewarts Point is a small coastal community that sits directly in between Sea Ranch and scenic Salt Point State Park. Also about 110 miles northwest of San Francisco, Stewarts Point definitely feels worlds away from all of the hustle and bustle of the big city, especially given the area’s protected forests and prairie lands that only add to the stunning natural beauty that defines this unique part of Wine Country. Despite being situated just off the California coastline, Stewarts Point still feels like it’s somewhat off the beaten track, and there isn’t much to the community outside of a post office and the historic Stewarts Point General Store that dates all the way back to 1868. And even if you’re not exactly looking for a home in Stewarts Point, stopping by the general store to say hello is highly recommend and almost feels like taking a trip back in time.

Stewarts Point Real Estate

With the Stewarts Point community situated in a pretty remote part of Sonoma County, potential home buyers won’t find many homes for sale in the area. Much of the landscape here consists of dense redwood forests and a rather hilly terrain, so look for most homes for sale in Stewarts Point to fall into the country farmhouse or cabin category, which is perfect for anyone who loves a rustic look and feel to where they call home.
