Santa Venetia Real Estate Market

Santa Venetia is primarily a residential neighborhood comprised of single-family homes, condominiums, and apartments. Most homes are built on level property, although there are a few contemporary properties on surrounding hillsides.

Santa Venetia Community Amenities

With open spaces to the south and east, Santa Venetia combines outdoor recreational opportunities with the practicality of urban conveniences, including a neighborhood market, a local school, and great accessibility for commuting.

In the beginning, the grand plan was for Santa Venetia to resemble Venice, Italy - complete with canals and gondolas and catering to the well-to-do. Before the project came to fruition, however, two World Wars intervened; times changed and homebuyers wanted modern homes with FHA or VA financing. Now, all that remains of the original dream is the name "Santa Venetia" and some street names. Today Santa Venetia is an affordable modern community with parks and playgrounds, open spaces - including Santa Venetia Marsh and San Pedro Mountain Preserve, and is within walking distance to shopping and the Civic Center Farmers Market.

Santa Venetia School Information

Elementary and middle school students living in Santa Venetia attend Venetia Valley School, formerly known as Gallinas School. A true neighborhood school that includes grades Kindergarten through 8th , Venetia Valley School is part of the San Rafael City Schools District and offers students a bilingual program (English/Spanish). High school students living in the area attend either San Rafael High School or Terra Linda High.
