Lucas Valley-Marinwood Eichler Housing Market

Designed by Jones & Emmons and Claude Oakland, with iconic walls of glass and open floor plans, Eichler homes in Upper Lucas Valley feature a variety of styles, including atrium models, flat tops, slightly-pitched rooflines and dramatic gable models. Underground utilities keep sightlines clean, offering unfettered views of the surrounding hillsides. An active homeowners association offers residents of Upper Lucas Valley a sense of community with a private clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts, and equestrian facilities, as well as helping to maintain the integrity of the Eichler homes in the neighborhood.

Just east of Upper Lucas Valley, Marinwood (often referred to as Lower Lucas Valley) has a community of approximately 375 Eichler homes designed by Jones & Emmons and Anshen + Allen. Built in the late 1950s, the Eichler neighborhood in Lower Lucas Valley is sometimes referred to as The Berries or The Berry Patch because it centers around streets that all include the word "berry" at the end of their names. These Marinwood (Lower Lucas Valley) Eichlers offer a variety of floor plans, all with two-car garages, two bathrooms, and three or four bedrooms.

Surrounded by rolling hills and open spaces, Eichler homes in the Lucas Valley offer the best of the indoor/outdoor California contemporary lifestyle envisioned by Joseph Eichler. The two communities of Eichlers have a total of almost 800 homes, with a variety of floor plans, all of which center on the theme of rooms opening onto one another, private facades, and walls of floor-to-ceiling glass that unite the indoors with the outside.
