Loch Lomond Real Estate Market

Most homes in Loch Lomond are built on hillside lots, with a few being down closer to the Bay. There is a nice mix of housing in Loch Lomond; the primary development occurred during the 1950's and 60s, which is reflected in the well-kept ranch-style homes. Located on southern end of Point San Pedro, Loch Lomond sits on the San Rafael Bay and is backed by Barbier Memorial Park and China Camp State Park. To the east and west are the neighborhoods of Bayside Acres, Glenwood, and Country Club.

Loch Lomond Community Amenities

Perhaps Loch Lomond's greatest attraction is the busy Loch Lomond Marina, which includes a neighborhood market, restaurants, and services as well as being home to the Loch Lomond Yacht Club. A boardwalk and promenade along the water's edge invite pedestrians to stroll, bird watch, and enjoy the views, while a launch ramp, guest slips, and charter boats help make the Loch Lomond Marina attractive to visitors as well as locals.

Loch Lomond School Information

Loch Lomond is in the San Rafael City Schools District. Elementary school students living in the neighborhood will attend either Glenwood or San Pedro School. Middle school students go to Davidson Middle School, and high schoolers have a choice of attending nearby San Rafael High School or making the trek across town to Terra Linda High School.
