Rodeo Real Estate Market

Rodeo, California is a census-designated community not far off the shores of San Pablo Bay. Situated alongside Interstate 80, Rodeo acts as a convenient place to live in Contra Costa County if you happen to be someone who frequently commutes to another part of the East Bay. Recent population stats have just under 9,000 people living in Rodeo, which certainly makes it large enough to provide home owners here with plenty of area amenities and things to do, including some pretty awesome hiking and other outdoor recreation over in nearby Crockett Hills Regional Park. If you're also wanting a location that's laid-back and pretty low-key, most of Rodeo consists of quiet residential streets outside of the town's main drag, Parker Avenue.

Although Interstate 80 runs through the northern end of Rodeo, you'll find much of the community still has a rather rural vibe, which the housing market here reflects, especially on the outskirts of town and near the southern tip. Closer to the charming downtown of Rodeo is where buyers should find a broad mix of bungalow, cottage-style homes, and plenty of 60's- and '70s-built ranch-style homes that offer good value. On the high side, Rodeo homes for sale won't exceed $700,000, while entry-level houses in the area should start somewhere close to $400,000, and sometimes even below that mark.
