Richmond Real Estate Market

Richmond has a population around 110,000 people, making it one of Contra Costa County's largest cities. Among the many things that make the local Richmond housing market appealing are all the waterfront recreational amenities and even a number of waterfront homes and condo developments as well, which are usually in pretty high demand. For vintage home lovers or anybody who appreciates classic architecture, the Point Richmond neighborhood or anything close to downtown offers some incredibly desirable options and opportunities you may want to consider, or check out the fabulous Marina Bay community if being close to the water is more your speed. Entry level condos and townhouses in Richmond usually start somewhere close to $300,000, although choices at this price point are usually fairly limited. As for single-family homes for sale in Richmond, look for most to start somewhere in the neighborhood of $400,000 to $500,000, but cheaper options may also be available in the cottage-style home and fixer-upper categories.

Richmond CA has many neighborhoods. Marina Bay is a bayside community of contemporary homes and condominiums. Just north of Marina Bay is Point Richmond, one Richmond’s older neighborhoods. Richmond is a bustling East Bay community that's often described as diverse, unique, and up-and-coming.
