While Oakland’s East Peralta neighborhood doesn’t currently provide extensive residential housing opportunities, potential home buyers will still find a pleasant mix of vintage condos and single-family homes that are mostly all situated up on the community’s northern end. Bounded by 6th Avenue to the north, International Boulevard to the east, Dennison Street and Miller Avenue to the south, and the Brooklyn Basin to the west, East Peralta’s boundaries essentially stretch from Merritt down to Oak Tree, which are two of the more densely populated residential communities on this side of town. Interstate 880 also runs alongside East Peralta’s western edge, providing area residents with easy access to one of Oakland’s busiest freeways. East Peralta Real Estate Market

As alluded to above, the housing market around East Peralta is somewhat limited, so don’t expect to find much available as you browse what’s currently available in this Oakland neighborhood. International Boulevard mostly consists primarily of commercial development, which includes an assortment of ethnic restaurants, auto repair shops, and other local businesses that serve much of the East Oakland community. Even up on East Peralta’s north side, where residential development is at least somewhat more common, much of the landscape is still filled with old industrial buildings and warehouses, truly limiting what you’ll find here in terms of a new place to live.
