Public Schools in Tiburon
Two public school districts serve students living in Tiburon. Elementary and middle school students attend schools in the Reed Union School District, and most high school students attend Redwood High School, which is in the Tamalpais Union High School District.
Reed Union School District serves the elementary schools in the communities of Tiburon, Belvedere, and a portion of East Corte Madera.
Tamalpais Union High School District provides secondary school education to students coming from ten elementary districts in Marin County, including the Reed Union School District. It includes three comprehensive high schools, all of which have been designated as California Distinguished Schools, and two alternative schools.

Reed Elementary School is a 2002 California Distinguished School. Reed School is a primary school that has, in addition to solid academic curriculum, a number of fun enrichment activities outside of the classroom that allow children to explore their interests. These include the Lego Club and the Knitting Club, which meet during lunch.

Bel Aire School was selected as a California Distinguished School in 2000. In addition to the academic curriculum, Bel Aire offers extracurricular activities including Flute Sectional (advanced flute lessons), 3rd & 4th Grade Book Club, 3rd Grade Mad-Scientists, and the Bel Aire Movie Club - where 5th graders learn how to produce movie shorts.

Del Mar Middle School is a California Distinguished School. In addition to the daily academic program, Del Mar offers electives, which include Instrumental Music, Journalism, Art, and Spanish. In 2005 Del Mar launched its Millennial Classroom Project. Through this program all students have been provided with a laptop and teachers are integrating computers into their daily curriculum.

Congratulations to Redwood High School upon being named a California Distinguished School for 2007! This is the fourth time Redwood High has earned this award.
Redwood High School offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with Advanced Placement and Honors courses, and includes French, Spanish, and Latin language classes. Redwood High also has an ROP program. Redwood High School is attended by students from Larkspur, Kentfield, Reed Union, and Ross School Districts. Gavin Newsom, mayor of San Francisco; Gary Fisher, one of the inventors of the mountain bike; and Robin Williams all attended Redwood High School.

Tamiscal High School is a small independent high school within the Tamalpais Union High School District. The Tamiscal curriculum offers a program that allows a high school diploma, but not necessarily the courses needed to gain entrance into a university. University entry courses such as foreign language and upper level lab sciences must be taken elsewhere.
