Inverness Schools

Inverness Public Schools

Shoreline Unified School District provides elementary and secondary education to children from the Marin County communities of Inverness, Point Reyes, Tomales Bay, Olema, and Marshall. The Shoreline Unified School District also serves students from the Bodega Bay area of Sonoma County.

West Marin Elementary School

West Marin School

Grades: 2-8

West Marin Elementary School operates on a traditional school calendar. Class sizes are small (an average of 21 students per class).  West Marin School offers in-school and after school tutoring. It also provides an after-school homework center.

Tomales High School

Grades: 9-12

Tomales High School is a comprehensive, college preparatory high school that serves the northwestern part of Marin and the Bodega Bay area in Sonoma County. In addition to classrooms, the campus of Tomales High School has a science lab, a small theater, a gymnasium, a band room, a newly remodeled library with computers, an art studio, a weather station, tennis courts, and sports fields.

Tomales High students have the advantage of studying marine and environmental science while working with scientists at the Tomales Environmental Learning Center, a "school-within-a-school" located on the Tomales High campus.
