Muir Beach Homes for Sale

Muir Beach is a coastal California town that’s somewhat isolated from other nearby cities and towns in West Marin. The Golden Gate National Recreation Area basically surrounds the Muir Beach community on three of its four sides, and the Pacific Ocean borders the other. Outside of a small community center and the famous Pelican Inn restaurant, Muir Beach is almost entirely residential, providing potential home buyers and future residents with a rather quiet, almost country-like atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying the absolutely gorgeous scenery this part of Marin County is known for most. In addition, the public beach area in town is a great spot for an afternoon picnic or to spend the day relaxing near the waterfront, and there’s also plenty of hiking trails and mountain bike paths that are a great way to get outside and stay active whenever possible.

Muir Beach Real Estate

With Muir Beach sitting right alongside the Pacific coastline, many homes for sale here feature breathtaking views of the ocean, especially as you get further up the hillside. But as a smaller city that really only has about 150 homes total, finding available opportunities on the Muir Beach real estate market isn’t always easy. Furthermore, whatever homes are listed for sale in Muir Beach often tend to be among Marin County’s most expensive, largely because of those awesome coastal views that are guaranteed to never grow old.
