Graton Real Estate

Located in the fertile Green Valley west of Santa Rosa, between Sebastopol and Forestville, the small town of Graton was established in 1905 and began as one of Sonoma County's first subdivisions, called Green Valley Ranch.  In the early years, Graton had a booming economy supported by agriculture and logging.  By the mid 1900s, however, logging had waned in Sonoma County and the apple orchards, processing plants, and canneries that sustained Graton faced serious competition from apple farmers outside the area.  A few vineyards gradually replaced the apple orchards; and the town of Graton became derelict - and almost forgotten.
