Forestville is known for its friendly residents, and the town itself reflects their eclectic nature.  The Forestville Youth Park is a privately owned, non-profit park and serves as a gathering place for the community.  The park hosts annual events and features BBQ pits, playing fields, and a playground.  Small, locally owned shops and art galleries, bakeries, and eateries are scattered throughout town, while several family owned wineries take their places on the outskirts of Forestville.

Homes in Forestville represent a large range of style, from rustic cottages along the Russian River or vintage Victorian farmhouses in the country to traditional single-family homes in town.  Outside of town, some premium properties have gated driveways and sit on hills that overlook vineyards or feature views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.  Most of the properties in Forestville are detached single-family homes, although there are a few small multi-family residences to be found.

Forestville Homes for Sale

Forestville is a small census-designated community located right in the heart of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. Also conveniently positioned along Highway 116, a drive down to Sebastopol or over to Santa Rosa provides Forestville home owners with easy access to plenty of nearby amenities, but that’s not to say this quiet Sonoma County community doesn’t offer at least some shopping and dining of its own. In fact, the town’s tiny three block “downtown” features a pretty nice mix of cafes, small restaurants, a wine bar or two, and there’s even a few tiny parks and beaches along the Russian riverfront as well that are a great place to spend a summer afternoon.

Forestville Real Estate

Although officially a census-designated place, Forestville definitely has the look and feel of a small town, especially when you wonder down any of its tree-lined residential roadways. Most homes for sale in Forestville are best described as quaint and charming, especially those close to the town center. Outside of town, hillside homes and even a number of ranch estates are commonly found active on the Forestville real estate market, and anyone considering a move here should expect most home listings to fall somewhere between $500,000 and $900,000, although properties with lots of land have been known to exceed $2 million at times too.
