Dublin Real Estate Market

The rapid expansion of the Dublin real estate market certainly provides potential home buyers with plenty of options and opportunities with a high value, especially given the city’s close proximity to San Francisco (35 miles away), Downtown Oakland (23 miles away), and San Jose (31 miles away). But as housing demand increases, home prices in Dublin have also been on the rise in recent years as well. From 2016 to 2017, the median home value in Dublin jumped 5% and recent Dublin CA real estate stats have the city’s median home value just over $804,000.

Since Dublin’s first single-family housing tracts were built in the 1960s, the real estate market in Dublin has grown steadily. New neighborhoods of detached homes and condos were established throughout the 1970s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. Development continues today with Schaefer Ranch, a brand-new, upscale community, which is still under construction and offers a variety of floor plans and lot sizes. There is an abundance of housing in Dublin, CA, in every price range and many different styles. Simple ranch-style and split-level tract homes can be found in Briar Hills, Echo Park, and some of Dublin’s older neighborhoods. Dublin Community Amenities

Once a rural area, Dublin California has grown into a vibrant, suburban city with well-planned subdivisions, new schools, parks, golf courses, and shopping centers. Dublin is home base to several large corporations, including computer software company Sybase Inc. and the internationally known custom motorcycle company, Arlen Ness. Several nearby business parks keep employment close to home and make commuting a non-issue for many Dublin residents.

Homes, condos, and townhouses haven’t been the only new additions to Dublin in recent years, as plenty of high-end luxury shopping brands have also found their way to the Dublin area as retail complexes and commercial projects have also helped fill out the local landscape. The Fallon Sports Park complex was also just recently built back in 2010, and the city also has three city-maintained dog parks for locals to use as well—Dougherty Hills Dog Park, Bray Commons Dog Park, and Jordan Ranch Dog Park.
