District 6 San Francisco 

At one time, District 6 (Central North) was referred to as the Western Addition in reference to the expansion that was occurring immediately west of downtown San Francisco. As the neighborhoods within the District developed distinct personalities, the boundaries of the Western Addition shrank and came to define a sub-district rather than the entire district. Along with the Western Addition, the other neighborhoods in District 6 are Alamo Square, Anza Vista, North Panhandle, The Hayes Valley, and Lower Pacific Heights.
