Deer Park is a tiny, census-designated place in Napa County with a population of just over 1,200 people. Situated just off Silverado Trail between Las Posadas State Forest and Bothe-Napa Valley State Park, much of the Deer Park area consists of secluded residential development and dense mountain forests that help make living here desirable if you’re looking for plenty of privacy and peace and quiet along with an attractive living space. Outside of the roughly 600 households in the area and of course the landmark-status Elmshaven estate, which is a large Victorian-era home that was once lived in by author and Christian pioneer Ellen G. White, there isn’t much to the Deer Park community in terms of community amenities; but with the nearby city of St. Helena also only a few short miles away, you’ll still never be too far from a pretty solid variety of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes, not to mention a grocery store, several gas stations, and countless other lifestyle essentials that make living in the area relatively convenient despite its isolation.
Homes for sale in Deer Park typically have a distinct country feel, mainly because of the area’s lack of overall density.
