Meek Park is home to the historic Meek Mansion and is a multi-use park featuring, in addition to the mansion, a group picnic area, play area, and open lawn area. Cherryland Park is another popular neighborhood park. Operated by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, Cherryland Park has a playground, picnic tables, barbecues, open lawns, basketball and horseshoe courts, and a skateboard area.
Children living in the area attend Hayward schools, which includes Cherryland Elementary School.
