The Sausalito Film Festival Returns to Cavallo Point on August 19-21, 2011

The Sausalito Film Festival is back for its third year showcasing 13 feature and documentary films as well as live interactive discussions and panels with filmmakers and industry leaders. Â
Sausalito, known for its diverse community of artists, boat-makers, film celebrities, athletes and writers makes it an extraordinary place for a film festival. Created in 2009 by event producers and film lovers Antonio Capretta and Allison Faust, the festival showcases films with diverse themes and relevant world topics. Attendees can expect a weekend of thought provoking, powerful discussions including human rights, climate change, military clashes and more. Movie tickets are $10 advance/$12 at the door.
The festival will be held at Cavallo Point, the LEED Gold Certified luxury, eco-resort on the San Francisco Bay at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. Â Guests can book an exclusive weekend including accommodations, all access passes to films and admission to opening night reception.
There are also a couple of great events during the week:
Thursday, August 18, climb aboard the Invader Yacht for a fundraiser benefiting the Sausalito Youth Sailing Club. Tickets are $150 and include cuisine of Sausalito's finest: Sushi Ran, Poggio and Le Garage. The cruise is limited to 50 people.
The opening night party on Friday, August 19 includes reception including organic fare from Cavallo Point's Michelin Star restaurant, Murray's Circle, a film, and after film coffee and chocolates. Tickets are $50.
