A NOVATO CHRISTMAS TREASURE FOR ALL
For 22 years, the Rombeiro Family has opened their home at Christmas to children of all ages.
The family, Ed, Mary, Jo and Kathy welcome one and all to their home at 34 Devonshire Drive, Novato as they celebrate 22 years of Holiday Magic.
Last year the house was toured by over 49,000 visitors (including 17 Tour Buses.)
December 7th, 2013 through January 6th
6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. (Including 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1/2014)
Decorated with 148,000 light bulbs inside and out, the Rombeiros have been busy converting over 80% to L.E.D. lighting.
Each room has a theme. The Living Room celebrates Mickey Mouse's 85th Birthday. As you stroll along the bridge you walk through "Candy Cane Lane" towards the Dining Room, where you celebrate "A White Christmas."
                                         Â
Throughout there are trains, a Christmas Carnival, angels, bubbles, snowmen, so many reminders of the season that there is no way to take it all in which is why visitors come year after year to ooooh and ahhhhh.
Enjoy a moment in Mary Jo's Kitchen with the Rombeiros. It is a great time to take a picture with the family or just say thank you for such a gift.
                                                                                             Â
Past the kitchen in the hallway, there are wonderful photos of the Rombeiros and also a room dedicated to the family heritage, "Sao Miguel, Azores."
The last room is "Christmas Blessings" to reflect on the meaning of Christmas.
It is easy to find. Take San Marin exit of off HWY 101, Left Center Rd., and Left at Devonshire Drive.
While the Rombeiros open their home to one and all for free, there is a donation box for us to help defray some of the costs of the 50,000 candy canes they give to the children - of all ages. Â
