With August upon us, there are so many great end of summer Marin festivals coming up:

AUGUST

San Rafael Food and Wine Festival

Festival-goers can sample food from area food vendors and wines from boutique wineries, watch chef demonstrations from a number of county-based restaurants while listening to live jazz. Free admission; tasting ticket prices vary.

Tiburon Art Festival

11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 25 and 26

Works by more than 60 jury-selected artists are displayed during a weekend of fine art, music and food along Tiburon's historic Ark Row at this sixth annual event. Admission is $5; free for children 12 and younger.

SEPTEMBER

Sausalito Art Festival

The annual Labor Day weekend outdoor event offers fine art and sculpture, food and beverages and big name musical entertainment. Music lineup and ticket prices to be announced.

Marin City Blues, Jazz and Soul Party in the Park

The 15th annual free musical Labor Day event offers ethnic foods, arts and crafts and activities for kids. Entertainment lineup to be announced.

Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival

The 56th annual arts and crafts event showcases a wide array of art under the redwoods plus music by acts including the Palm Wine Boys, 4 Guys Named Mo, Miss Emily Anne, Todd Morgan and the Emblems, kids' entertainment and hands-on activities plus food for sale benefiting local non-profits. Tickets are $5 to $10; free for ages 12 and younger.
