Summer Events in Oakland
Looking for things to do in the Oakland area over the next few months? Luckily, there are a lot of events happening throughout the area between now and the end of August. Use a few of these as your opportunity to discover different areas of Oakland and partake in all the awesome culture and great summer weather we have here in the East Bay.

July 26, 6-11 PM at Dunsmuir-Hellman Historic Estate
This annual event is an Oakland tradition. Live music, dancing, carriage rides and a vintage car display are just some of the great ways to enjoy yourself at this beautiful estate.
July 26, 11 AM - 7 PM in Jack London Square
This event celebrates all things bikes, including a vintage bike display, stunts by professional cycling daredevils, live music and of course, lots of great food!
August 2, 1-5 PM in Jack London Square
Hosted by the East Bay Vinter's Alliance, this is your chance to sample wines from over 20 urban wineries -- from reds, whites, and everything in betweeen. Some great local restaurants will be there as well to provide delicious snacks to accompany your wine.
August 2 and 3 in Downtown Oakland
This blocks-long festival is definitely not one to miss! Lots of live music, a BBQ competition, live art and all kinds of entertainment for kids and adults alike.
August 9, 11 AM - 6 PM at MacArthur and 35th Avenue
This great festival is in its 15th year in the Laurel District, one of Oakland's great, but lesser-known neighborhoods. Lots of music, crafts, food and more at this event that attracts close to 10,000 people.
August 24 and 24, 10 AM - 5:30 PM in Oakland Chinatown
This annual event is a great way to really get to know our great Chinatown neighborhood, buy unique products and enjoy a wide variety of food and live entertainment.
August 31, 12 PM - 8 PM at 22nd Street and Franklin Street in Uptown
Celebrate the diversity of Oakland at the 5th annual installment of Oakland Pride. There are multiple stages for live music, wedding pavilions, great food, and more.
