Novato Household Hazardous Waste Disposal
Novato residents have another wonderful resource - The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility is located at the Novato Recycling Center, 7576 Redwood Blvd (next to Shamrock Materials).
It is open the first and third Sunday and Monday of each month from 8:30 to 1:30pm excluding most holidays. No appointment is needed and it is free to residents.
HHW accepts the following:
Aerosols, of all kinds                                               Mercury thermostats & thermometers
Auto Products - polishes, brake fluids, cleaners          Paints (oil & latex), stains, solvents, sprays
                                            
Asbestos - up to two 30-gal. sized trash bags - double-bagged
Pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers
Batteries of all kinds
Pool and photo chemicals
Building products - sealers, caulking, glues
             
Propane tanks, helium tanks and fire extinguishers
CRTS - up to five
