New Farmer's Market Slated for Downtown Ross, CA

Farmer’s Markets are part of the Marin lifestyle, being a weekly – or biweekly – destination for many Marin residents.  The newest market to join the lineup will be a Thursday evening Farmer’s Market in Ross Common. The new market will be Marin’s ninth Farmer’s Market – but a first for Ross, California.  This weekly event will be one of the smallest in Marin, but will be a welcome addition to the community.

The Ross Farmer’s Market will run on Thursday evenings, 4 to 8 p.m., June through September – beginning after Ross School goes on summer break to ease traffic problems. Initially about a dozen vendors will be selling fruits and vegetables.  Possibly other food related items, such as olive oils and condiments will be added, along with prepared foods should any local businesses decide to participate and set up a stand.

If you don’t live in Ross, don’t despair.  Farmer’s Markets abound in Marin.  During the summer months, one is opened somewhere in the county every day of the week except for Mondays.  San Rafael actually has two, and you can find markets in Corte Madera, Novato, Fairfax, Sausalito, Larkspur, and Point Reyes as well.
