Looking for some night-time sparkle? Here are a few of my favorite East Bay holiday light displays not to be missed:

Oakland Zoo Lights

Each year hundreds of thousands of sparkling LED lights transform the Oakland Zoo into a fun-filled explosion of light, full of glowing animal structures and strings of colorful holiday lights. The light show is entertaining not only for young children but the entire family. The Outback Express Adventure train ride is sure to inspire its passengers on a dark winter's night.

Zoo Lights runs December 2, 2016 to January 1, 2017 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm weather permitting (closed December 24 & 25).

Check out the Oakland Zoo Lights website for tickets and more information.

Alameda's Christmas Tree Lane

The 3200 block of Thompson Ave in Alameda has been dubbed "Christmas Tree Lane" for good reason. Nearly all of the neighborhood's residents go all-out with unique lighting installations and inspired decorations. If you go, plan to park and walk the full block past kids selling treats and friendly neighbors milling around. You may even catch a glimpse of Santa!

Christmas Tree Lane is lit from 5:30pm to 10:00pm each night through New Year's Eve.

More information can be found by Clicking Here as well as reviews on their very own Yelp Page.

Mountain View Cemetery Holiday Circle of Lights

Believe it or not, the entrance of this picturesque cemetery transforms into a night time winter wonderland during the holidays. Designed by Frederick Law Olmstead (designer of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and New York's Central Park) this historic cemetery is the resting place of many famous and notable Bay Area figures. The Holiday Circle of Lights display runs December 1, 2016 to January 1, 2017 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

More information can be found on Mountain View Cemetery's website.

Enjoy!
