Wow, it's a plush new Spa for dogs. Who could be more deserving than our furry
friends whose owners are the second largest constituency in Marin County
according to a recent article. The owners of K9 Scrub Club have thought of
everything and seized a great business opportunity. What happened to hip and funky Fairfax? It's gone upscale.
Here's the perfect day in Fairfax. Drop Buddy off at the Spa
for an Oatmeal facial and Gentle Berry shampoo, while you go across the street
to shop at Good Earth. When you pick up Buddy, don't forget to...
What? You don't have a teenager? Well, the
first thing to keep in mind when considering a house for your teenager is that
your cute little gurgling baby will BE a teenager in the blink of an eye, so if
you don’t plan ahead you’ll be selling and buying a new house in seven to ten
years. If you already have a teenager,
you know what you wish you had if you don’t have it.And if you’ve got the right kind of house for
your teenager(s), you are probably all much happier for it!
Buying a house with some extra room
that you currently don’t see yourself using can pay off big time in the future,
sparing you the upset of...

Multiple Offer Situations heating up again -Â
This past week I wrote two offers for two different clients.
Both were for single family residences, one in San Rafael, one in south Novato.
They attracted 15, and 14 offers respectively. They both went into contract for
over $100,000 OVER asking price. Both cases were a bit extreme since they were
listed for a bit "under market value" which isn't that common. Yet, it tells us
a lot about the eagerness among buyers in Marin right now.
It is more common with multiple offers for homes priced
below $1 million. But even in the high-end segment it is common to have 2-5
offers. Any time a house is priced at or below current market value, one can
expect more than one offer.
Last year was infamous for the uptick in multiple offer
situations, not to mention the fast increases in real estate prices. No one has
a crystal ball, and it may be too early to say if...

875 Tamalpais Avenue #14 in Novato just sold!
I just helped my client with the purchase of this 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit
with an enclosed garage. This client had been looking for several months, and had made offers on other units---then began to go to Brokers' Open Houses with me. When we walked in to this home, we knew it was the right one. We made an offer right
away and it was accepted! Great location, great light, great commute location! The sale was completed in less than 30 days; The buyer even got a credit at closing and can't wait to move in!
Even in today's competitive Marin County real estate market, there are opportunities for buyers...
It may be coincidental but two "not-to-miss" book & art events are
happening in Marin on May 3rd.Â
The first is California Bookstore Day Celebration at Copperfield's in San Rafael.
The second event is the ninth annual Art of the Book exhibition at the Seager
Gray Gallery in Mill Valley.

I am pleased to announce the sale of my listing with Maggi
Dale, Marin Modern at 674 Mandana Blvd in Oakland. We had the opportunity to
list, professionally photograph, and market this historic Crocker Highlands
property that closed escrow at $870,500 ($270,500 over the asking price).
After two consecutive open house Sundays, turning out 300+
viewers, this property received 23 offers submitted and a final closing price
well over the $600,000 ask with a 7 day escrow. Congrats to
our sellers!
I enjoyed assisting my seller clients
with the sale of their home and welcome the opportunity to assist you with the
sale or purchase in the East Bay. Please contact me at [email protected] to get started.

A pocket park, a small green lawn, plenty of inviting benches, and a shimmering fountain with statues of Yoda and Harrison Ford grace the space next to the San Anselmo Town Hall. Opened on June 20, 2013, on land donated by George Lucas, this petite parcel is a focal point for the Downtown area and a magnet for kids of all ages. Directly across the street from Marin Coffee Roasters, the Park attracts shoppers, strollers, sun-seekers, coffee drinkers, dog walkers, Moms, Dads, Kids, residents, visitors, nannies with baby strollers, and a multitude of others. Beckoning passers-by for a look, a sit, conversation, contemplation, a meetup, a play date, a stop at an impromptu lemonade stand raising money for a school project, it is an attractive addition to the extremely walkable San...
