Apparently, the former owner of Cucina has taken the space back over, is remodeling, and intends to open for business sometime in December. On a recent walk, I saw the following two notices in the window, indicating San Anselmo may soon regain one of its longstanding, popular, and much-loved restaurants. A lot of folks I've spoken with are looking forward to the opening. I'll be there too!
We are hosting an exclusive event for our clients on December 5, 2015 that
is designed to educate attendees on the process of building a modern prefab
home in the San Francisco Bay Area. We've hosted a similar event in
the past, which "sold out" quickly so we are sharing it with our blog
followers before the press release goes out.
This event - Building a Modernist & Eco-Friendly
Prefab Home in the San Francisco Bay Area - will be held on Saturday, December
5th, 2015. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear
from keynote speakers from Los Angeles-based...
My clients Laura & Patrick officially became the new owners of this fabulous 5 bed, 3 bath, 3120 SF home today. The wrap-around deck with built-in jacuzzi offers stunning views of the San Pablo Bay and the surrounding area. My clients had two must haves in their home search; views & RV parking. With both of those goals satisfied, their move from Fresno to the Bay Area should be a happy one!

Just closed escrow on this cool upper floor loft in Oakland's Dogtown District. This is my second sale of the year at the Helen Street lofts. I'm thankful to my clients for entrusting me with the sale of their investment property. I made sure the unit received a fresh coat of paint, was properly staged, and professionally photographed. Listed for $450,000, we just closed escrow today at $485,000!

Timing is everything in real estate. I represented the Trustee who was selling 95
Corte Mesa; a tenant occupied 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome located in a small development in the outer Dominican neighborhood in San Rafael.
This townhome was renovated 3 years ago with a new
kitchen, baths, fixtures, flooring and windows. Even though selling a tenant occupied property
is not ideal for the tenant or seller, sometimes it can't be helped. The tenant
had a lease and hoped to continue renting for as long as possible. Therefore, the trustee and I kept our focus
on 1031 Exchange buyers who had limited time to find a replacement property. Our
timing was pitch perfect. We found the ideal buyer very quickly.
It was a win-win for...

It's not news to most people that the migration of residents from San Francisco to Oakland is greater than ever. Many people may not realize that many businesses have also started moving across the bay.
While Uber's purchase of the building at 1945 Broadway made headlines, it's just one of many corporate relocations in 2015. The San Francisco Business Times recently featured an article that included 15 of the largest companies to start their Oakland relocation plans. These are in addition to others that moved from other parts of the Bay Area, such as Sunset Magazine's well-publicized move from Menlo Park to Jack London Square.
Other large companies to make the move this year include Brown and Toland (Healthcare), CoreLogic, the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and the environmental organizing, the Sierra Club.
