I have been asked this question many times lately and found a great chart to help you visualize the impact of interest rate changes. This is top of mind for many prospective home buyers as interest rates creep up slowly from historical lows. In the example below, if you can make a monthly mortgage payment of $2,316, at 3.75% interest, you can qualify for a $500,000 loan. At 4.75%, you can qualify for a $450,000 loan and your monthly payment will be $2,347. Keep in mind that these figures are approximate, and may be affected by other factors such as credit scores, other liabilities, etc.

Listed at $875K, we sold this baby for $990K! We listed this property in the middle of December, which is notoriously the worst time of the year for real estate. Even worse was the fact that there were 5 other active listings in the same building. But the proof is in the pudding. Prepping, professional staging and photography, droning and superior marketing make all the difference. Thanks to Leila Seppa Photography for the unmatched photography & videography that made this listing stand out from all the others! ...

Located on a quiet street in Oakland, this charming house nearly a century old has so much to offer. It has two-bedrooms, one-bathroom, plus a den on the street level, and a room and a bathroom in the basement. It has been well-maintained and cared for by one owner for nearly 40 years.

Congrats to my recent homebuyers. They are putting the finishing touches on the condo they just purchased in the Adams Point Area. They are moving to Oakland from Walnut Creek and are eager to start the New Year with restaurants, entertainment, and Lake Merritt just minutes away.
