Marin Civic Center Lagoon Park Playground Gets a Makeover

Families and visitors to Marin County just got another reason to visit the The Marin Civic Center in San Rafael which was designed by noted architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Built in 1957, the Marin Civic Center has always been a popular destination for architectural enthusiasts interested in seeing Frank Lloyd Wright's 770th commission, which would be his last. Fortunately, the spirit and vision of Frank Loyd Wright still lives on with a number of recent upgrades to the grounds surrounding the civic center.
Kids Playground at the Marin Civic Center
Surrounding the famous Marin Civic Center is a 20 acre informal park known as the Civic Center Lagoon Park. The park features an 11 acre lagoon, fishing, picnic areas, as well as a children's playground which has just been updated in a manner that complements the overall modernist design aesthetic of the Marin Civic Center and surrounding area.I would encourage anyone with small children to swing by and check out the new playground which features a variety of both traditional and progressive play structures as noted in the pictures below.
