Just Sold! 3 Hillside Ave, Bolinas - Cottage with Ocean View
Just Sold! Last week I closed a deal representing the buyers of a lovely ocean view cottage in the West Marin town of Bolinas, CA. This quaint brown-shingle beach cottage is just a few short blocks to the historic "downtown" area of Bolinas and the close to the Brighton Beach steps. From the deck there are views of the Pacific and San Francisco in the distance. The property had been on the market for a very long time due to unmotivated sellers and numerous other challenges such as tenants, incomplete lot splits & utility easement puzzles. Luckily, my buyer clients loved the house enough to persevere through months of negotiations with surveyors, title company advisors, attorneys and reluctant sellers & we finally closed the deal after months of hard work. Congratulations to the new owners, my clients Chrysanthe & Jason, who in addition to celebrating the purchase of their beach house, are also welcoming their first baby daughter any day now! You certainly have a lot to celebrate & I hope you have many happy years together watching sunsets from your deck!
Just Sold! And in the same week, I also closed a deal at 548 Monterey in Pacifica. Coincidentally, these buyers were also looking for an ocean view home, but for commute reasons they needed to be close to the City. We began by viewing lofts in the SOMA and South Beach areas but quickly came to realize that view properties with the square footage that they wanted were selling for more than they could pay. We decided to target other towns with views in the Peninsula and found that the Pacifica area fit well within their budget and commute requirements. We made a successful bid on 548 Monterey and with only one small glitch (we had to change lenders at the last moment, Wells Fargo saved our deal) we were able to close this one, too. Another happy buyer with an ocean view!
