Holiday Blanket Drive for Homeward Bound of Marin
This Holiday Season you can provide warmth, hope and a sense of well-being to those in need by donating any gently used or new twin blankets and sheets to Homeward Bound of Marin.
What better way to express gratitude for the bounty most of us in Marin enjoy than to give back to our beloved community?
If you have donations in San Rafael, please call me at 415.596.0778 to set up a convenient time that I can pick up the items from now until December 19th.Â
The bedding will go to Homeward Bound's shelters for homeless families and adults to make sure all residents are warm this winter. You can also donate additional items on the WISH LIST below if you don't have twin blankets and sheets to offer.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Homeward Bound's amazing work, please see their website at https://hbofm.org/Home.html. There are some inspiring videos that highlight the countless ways that this organization transforms lives right here in our proverbial backyard! Homeward Bound has been the primary provider of shelter and services for the homeless in Marin County since 1974. Today, they operate 14 different programs that provide much needed emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent housing and job training. You'll be awed by some of the innovative programs they've developed and the results they've achieved.Â
Give Gifts that Keep On Giving
If you're still working on your gift list, there's a variety of additional ways we can all support the life-changing work done at Homeward Bound in Marin through gifts to friends and family. For instance, reservations at the popular monthly Fresh Start Chef Events at the Key Room in San Rafael will provide a delightful dining experience to family and friends while supporting those who are less fortunate. Also, the chocolate Halo Truffles and the Halo HomeMades line of jams, preserves and salsas make mouth-watering gifts for everyone on your list. All of these are made at the Fresh Starts Culinary Academy, which offers job training to people moving out of homelessness.
Please contact Dominique Legnitto at dlegnitto@hbofm.org or at 382.3363, ext. 212 for in kind donations or blanket donation pick up outside of San Rafael. You can also call Maura Thurman at 382.3363, ext. 213 to make monetary donations.
Thanks in advance for joining me in supporting the extraordinary work of Homeward Bound of Marin and the crucial contributions they make to our community. The generosity of spirit in giving to those most in need will be a gift you'll enjoy through the Holidays and beyond. Any and all of your donations are greatly appreciated!
Here's wishing you and your loved ones a safe, happy and healthy Holiday Season and the very best in the New Year.  A special thanks to all my clients and associates for making 2014 another wonderful and gratifying year in real estate.
