Eichler Home Sales in Marin (2008)
As the year winds to a close, I wanted to provide everyone with a quick synopsis of how the real estate market in Marin County California held up for buyers and sellers of Eichler homes in 2008.
I specifically wanted to break out Eichler home sales history information since many of my clients (both buyers and sellers) have a profound interest in these mid-century modern properties in Marin County. While Eichler homes can be found in several Marin towns including Mill Valley, San Anselmo, and San Rafael, all Eichler transactions for 2008 ocurred in the town of San Rafael.
San Rafael Eichler Sales for 2008
In 2008, a total of 41 Eichler homes were sold in Marin County. As mentioned, all 41 of these Eichlers were located in San Rafael. The majority of Eichler homes sold in 2008 were located in San Rafael's Terra Linda neighborhood (29 sold), followed by Upper Lucas Valley (7 sold), and then Marinwood / Lower Lucas Valley (5 sold).
The table below provides a high-level summary of Eichler home sales activity in each of the defined neighborhoods. In addition to transaction volume, i've included a high level summary of the average list price and average sale price in each of these neighborhoods.

You can learn more about each of these Eichler neighborhoods by visiting Eichler Homes in San Rafael California.
I'll provide additional information (and insight) into these 2008 Eichler home sales statistics over the next several weeks. In the interim, feel free to contact me if I can assist you with the purchase or sale of an Eichler home (or any home!) in Marin County in 2009.
Enjoy the Holidays and Happy New Year!
