With the first 6 months of 2013 behind us, we wanted to provide East Bay Eichler homeowners with a mid-year summary of the market for Eichler homes.
A total of 11 Eichler homes have been sold in the East Bay between January 1 and June 30, 2013. Sales have remained steady so far this year, however, there has been an uptick in activity now that the summer-housing season is in full swing.

Taking a closer look at Eichler sales for?the first half of the year, the majority (6) ?of sales occurred in Walnut Creek where Eichlers took an average of 9 days to sell at an average sales price of $741,167 (roughly 107% of the original list price). The highest price paid in Walnut Creek for an Eichler home was $870,000.
Beyond Walnut Creek, there were four sales in the Concord Eichler tract, one Eichler home sales in Castro Valley, and no sales in the Oakland Hills.
