Sometimes selling your property is bittersweet. We have memories, beginnings, history that isn't always easy to let go of. My clients originally purchased 83 Mc Allister, #511 in 2007 after the building was transformed into 60 Efficiency Loft Condos.
They wanted to live in the heart of San Francisco and enjoy everything the city has to offer but after a few years they decided that the East Bay was a better location to raise their son so they move out and rented their condo. Priorities and situations in life are fluid and so they decided to let go of their super hip SF retreat and move on.
The Book Concern Lofts is an efficiency loft conversion located on the edge of the Civic Center district in downtown San Francisco. Built in 1906, the building at 83 McAllister Street retains turn-of-the-century character with the original brick and limestone façade, while the inside has been converted into 60 loft-style condominiums. The micro-lofts combine an industrial appeal with vertical space and natural light.
#511 is a top floor unit, which offers high ceilings, a skylight that floods the loft with light and a spacious standing height sleeping loft. The building also offers a rooftop terrace, gym, laundry room, bike storage and a large community room at the basement level.
The location is centrally located creating an excellent commute spot aand access to world-class restaurants, Union Square and downtown shops, and public transportation right outside the front door.
The new owner is ecstatic and plans on walking to work. He loves the location, building and feels it's just enough space for his lifestyle.
The transfer of property has many layers of understories that involve life events on both sides of the transaction. I absolutely love working with buyers and sellers and helping them navigate all their interesting life changes and making their real estate dreams come true.
