I absolutely love working with first time homebuyers. They are so excited, willing to learn and very appreciative. It's an honor to be a part of the first time homebuyer experience! 126 Surrey Lane, San Rafael CA 94903 located in The Meadows complex in North San Rafael, will be the perfect spot for my clients to start their lives together.

 

With some help from parents, my clients were able to purchase this two bedroom, 1.5 bath end unit townhouse style condominium in The Meadows. The previous owner did some lovely updates to the bathrooms and kitchen making it move in ready. They have a spacious patio off the living area where they can relax outdoors, b-b-queue and entertain. The complex has pool and tennis facilities and is set on beautifully landscaped, wooded grounds.

 

The Meadows sits at the end of Freitas Parkway in Terra Linda with walking/biking trails and expansive open space at the dead end of the street. Many condo complexes are next to or near the freeway making The Meadows a unique and special place to call home. However, buying that first home is tricky and young home buyers often need some assistance and help from family.

 

Purchasing Real Estate is a huge step, decision and investment. The single biggest purchase you will probably ever make. The current market has made it difficult for young people to make that first purchase.

Times have changed and not everyone can purchase a home in their early 20's. Prices in Marin County are inching toward peak levels and the historically low inventory is pushing prices further up. My parents purchased their first home in Marin in 1963 when I was born for about $30,000. That is barely a down payment in the current market. It's rough for young people, starting out to afford a home purchase.
