Homes Happen! It's not often that a buyer will move forward buying a house on their first day out, but that's what happened when my lovely buyers fell in love with this gorgeous house. Sold for $2,280,000.
 
Sometimes a buyer will see a great house on their first day out, but feel that they must see more. That first house sets the gold standard, and the search thereafter can be long and arduous.Though finding this house was easy, selling it proved to be challenging with some very tough negotiating taking place along the way.With a very beautiful, well cared for home, it is not uncommon for the seller to feel emotionally connected to their house, even though they want to sell.And, of course, buyers need to be diligent in their examination of the home to ensure there are no surprises.
During this process I heard a funny quote: "You know the deal is a good one if both parties are unhappy". At first I didn't understand, because I always want my clients to be super happy. But upon thinking more deeply about it, I realized that any "unhappiness" comes from feeling that one didn't get 100% of what they wanted or expected.  Compromise is at the heart of every great negotiation and, ideally, there will be a balance between what each party feels they got and what they gave up.Â
I want to acknowledge both parties for handling the hurdles during this transaction with understanding and intelligence to ultimately achieve their goals.
