Blackhawk Real Estate Market

Real estate in Blackhawk is expensive. The price for most homes in Blackhawk starts in the vicinity of one million dollars and moves up from there. If your budget will allow it, purchasing a luxury home or estate in Blackhawk CA will buy you a very comfortable lifestyle in a quiet, sophisticated, and exclusive community. Blackhawk is characterized by a series of exclusive gated neighborhoods, each with its own personality. Luxury properties in the Hidden Oaks and Oakridge neighborhoods are slightly smaller than in some of the other Blackhawk communities, although Oakridge does feature a handful of homes on large parcels. Most properties in Saddleback include large, upscale homes on 5-acre lots, many with private swimming pools and tennis courts.

Thanks to Blackhawk’s easy access to luxury lifestyle amenities and the community’s overall appeal and high-level of desirability, you won’t find many homes on the market here at once, and that’s despite the community consisting of six individual subdivisions that were all developed sometime back in the late 1980s and early-to-mid 1990s. Most Blackhawk homes for sale have a rather traditional look and feel, and usually offer anywhere from three to six bedrooms, two and six bathrooms, and at least 3,000 square feet of total living area. If you’re lucky, you might find a home that also offers incredible views of the golf course, but those tend to be the most sought-after properties in the entire community. Look for smaller single-story homes in Blackhawk to usually start at just under $1 million, while larger estates found inside this fabulous master planned community will commonly exceed $3 million.

Blackhawk Community Amenities

Blackhawk California is an upscale community in Contra Costa County. Set into the foothills of Mt. Diablo, just east of Danville and only about 30 minutes from Walnut Creek, Blackhawk is out of the fray of the busy urban East Bay yet close enough to the network of roads and highways to make commuting to other Bay Area communities straightforward and convenient. Blackhawk residents don't need to look any farther than their back yards for world-class recreation. The exclusive Blackhawk Country Club features two golf courses, two separate tennis facilities, swimming pools, and a well equipped fitness center. A nearby shopping area helps keep the needs of everyday life manageable, while the top rated public schools of the San Ramon Valley School District provide an excellent education for children living in Blackhawk.

Blackhawk Country Club is the largest of the communities and includes all the homes within the main gate at Blackhawk. Homes here are surrounded by golf courses and thousands of acres of open spaces. Adjacent to the Blackhawk Country Club neighborhood is Silver Maple. Although Silver Maple is a separate gated community, it is built along two of the golf club's fairways and greens.
