Bethel Island Real Estate Market

Bethel Island is one of Contra Costa County’s more affordable communities from a housing standpoint, with most single-family residences averaging somewhere close to the mid $500,000s. As a smaller community that’s somewhat remote, you won’t find many condos, townhouses, or attached residences, if any at all. With the only access to Bethel Island being by boat or via the two-lane bridge that links the island to the mainland, homes on Bethel Island are secluded and private. Many are waterfront properties with private docks. Others include acreage perfect for a farming or ranching lifestyle. Prices vary, depending on the property and amenities, but the cost of real estate on Bethel Island tends to be relatively modest when compared to many properties for sale in the East Bay.

Bethel Island Community Amenities

Bethel Island is an island community in northeastern Contra Costa County. Surrounded by the waterways of the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta, Bethel Island's nearest neighbors are Knightsen, Oakley, Antioch, Brentwood, and Discovery Bay. Further away, but still within a reasonable driving distance are Concord and Walnut Creek, Stockton, Tracy, and Sacramento.

Bethel Island may be one of the East Bay's more remote locations, but what it lacks in convenience it more than makes up for in recreational opportunity. A yacht club and golf course, along with miles and miles of Delta waters help make Bethel Island a wonderful place for the entire family to live and play. Fishing, golfing, swimming, boating, jet skiing, picnicking, and hiking are literally just outside the front door.
