Although it is well removed from the hustle and bustle of its wine country neighbors, Annapolis is within striking distance of all the amenities of the more populated areas.  Healdsburg, Cloverdale, and Santa Rosa are to the east and provide plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities.  For recreation, Annapolis' mountain location and proximity to the coast means that hiking, salmon fishing, whale watching, kayaking, abalone diving, or just enjoying the stunning scenery never requires much more than hopping in the car and taking a short drive to the west.

Most homes in Annapolis are located on acreage, offering seclusion and the opportunity to commune with nature.  Annapolis homes come in an assortment of styles ranging from rustic cabins to contemporary new homes.  Many properties offer stunning views of the distant ocean or tranquil mountain or forest scenes.

Annapolis, CA is a tiny, unincorporated community in Sonoma County, CA with a population of only around 400 residents. It’s location roughly 5 miles northeast of Stewarts Point along Annapolis Road offers potential home buyers a rather quiet and secluded atmosphere, while its close proximity to the coastline also helps keep the temperature pretty mild for the most part, with the average temperature failing to exceed 71.6 °F even during the warmest month’s of the year. The Annapolis community doesn't really have a traditional downtown, but there is one local school located here that serves students in grades K-8. Called Horicon School, students who go to Kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school in Annapolis eventually transition to Point Arena High School over in Point Arena, CA, which is about a 40 to 50 minute drive north along State Route 1. Like many Sonoma County communities, Annapolis is also home to a local winery, which is widely thought of as one of the premier wedding venues in all of Sonoma County thanks to its hillside location and sweeping views of the region.
