Surrounded by forests and vineyards, Angwin is a peaceful oasis in Napa's wine country.  Although shopping and dining opportunities are limited in Angwin, there is still plenty to do.  Playing fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a fitness center are all associated with Pacific Union College; and the hiking and biking trails of Las Posadas State Forest are just outside town.  For everyday needs, Angwin has a post office, gas station, small grocery, and a few small businesses; while the amenities of several larger Napa towns, including St Helena, Calistoga, Yountville and the city of Napa are just a few minutes away.

Most of the homes in Angwin are detached single-family homes set in a town that offers a rural feel, with many homes located on narrow tree lined streets or on property that is surrounded by forested lands or vineyards.  A wide assortment of architecture and era is represented by properties in Angwin, ranging from cozy cottages built during the early 1900s to mid-century ranches and contemporary residences.

Angwin Homes for Sale

Angwin, CA is a small, census-designated place in Napa County that sits to the northwest of Las Posadas State Forest. Recent census statistics only have about 3,100 people living in Angwin, even despite the community encompassing nearly 5 square miles. Howell Mountain Road acts as Angwin’s main drag, which is where you’ll find most of the town’s shopping, dining, and various other service businesses. Pacific Union College is also located in Angwin and situated alongside Howell Mountain Road, just down the street from the Angwin Plaza Shopping Center.

Angwin Real Estate

Although Angwin is limited in terms of size and population, the real estate market here is surprisingly diverse. Newer construction homes up in the hills are fairly common in Angwin, but there’s also plenty of small cottage-style homes, bungalows, and mid-size single-family dwellings that have a traditional look and feel. If you’re someone who also appreciates lots of open space and privacy, many Angwin homes for sale also include plenty of acreage in addition to a fabulous new house you can call your own.

Amenities & Attractions in Angwin

As mentioned above, Pacific Union College is located in Angwin, which pretty much acts as the only major attraction in town. A small, public-use airport is also located on east side of town, and Las Posadas State Forest sits just outside of Angwin’s boundaries, which is one of our favorite places to go for a hike or take the dog for a walk in all of East Bay.
