Alamo Homes & Real Estate

Welcome to your best Alamo real estate resource as well as all homes on the market in Contra Costa County. Although Alamo, CA is a small, unincorporated community in Contra Costa County, it’s still widely considered a premier East Bay suburb to call home. Located about 28 miles east of San Francisco, Alamo definitely has the make-up of a thriving small town, especially as you drive down Danville Boulevard, which acts as the the town’s main drag and has plenty of shopping, dining, and various other common amenities you’d expect from small bedroom community. In fact, situated right near the Danville Boulevard and Stone Valley Road intersection is a Peet’s Coffee, a Starbucks, and the Cherubini Coffee House, so there’s certainly no shortage of local spots to get your daily coffee fix on the way to work every day. But along with its high volume of coffee houses and cafes, Alamo is also wedged in between Diablo Foothills Regional Park and Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, so you’ll also enjoy lots of outdoor recreational amenities nearby as well once moving to this particular part of East Bay as well. Alamo Real Estate Market

Many homes for sale in the Alamo housing market begin in the million-dollar range, although charming older homes can be found for a bit less. From there, the sky is the limit. Whether you are looking for a custom home in a gated community, a country estate, or a tastefully appointed contemporary home with a view, real estate in Alamo offers a gracious lifestyle with a prestigious address.

Homes in Alamo are large and expensive, ranging from gracious homes looking out over the golf course at Round Hill Country Club to contemporary hillside homes and gentrified equestrian properties in the valley. Although real estate in Alamo is predominately single-family residences, there are a few townhouse and condominium communities conveniently located close to town.

As a highly-desirable place to live in Contra Costa County, homes for sale in Alamo are impressive, with many offering sweeping views of the stunning natural landscape, or of the exclusive Round Hill Country Club, which has some pretty impressive grounds of its own. Most of what buyers will find in terms of housing in Alamo consists of stately single-family homes, although a few townhouse and condo communities are also scattered in between as well. And with homes in Alamo seemingly always in demand, home values throughout the area tend to remain high, only further boosting its appeal among anyone looking to make the move to Contra Costa County. Look for the majority of homes for sale in Alamo to start somewhere around $3 million, with some of the most expensive houses on the market reaching or exceeding $10 million, or sometimes even $20 million.

Alamo Community Amenities

Alamo is one of several well-to-do communities in the San Ramon Valley, where a quiet pace of life, excellent schools, and a small town atmosphere. The Round Hill Country Club offers aquatics, a fitness center, golf, and tennis to members; while public parks, open spaces, and miles of multi-use trails that link Alamo with nearby East Bay communities are popular spots for picnicking, hiking, biking, and horseback riding.

Situated along the western slopes of Mount Diablo, between Walnut Creek and Danville, Alamo California is a prosperous East Bay community with a quiet, rural atmosphere. Although many Alamo residents telecommute, Alamo’s location along I-680 offers convenience to more traditional commuters who travel back and forth to other Bay Area cities.
