I was born in Osaka, Japan, and lived there until my graduation from college with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. While in college, a trip around the United States convinced me to move to California to pursue my MBA and I have lived here ever since. My love of architecture, especially the mid-century modern style here in California, and my passion for interior design, brought me to the residential real estate profession. Coupled with my work in sales and marketing fields in high tech firms in Silicon Valley, my years of experience in Bay Area real estate make me the ideal choice for your next real estate transaction.

How long have you called the Bay Area home?

Over 23 years in total. I’ve lived in San Francisco, Menlo Park, Santa Clara and for the last twelve years in Oakland.

How long have you been a Realtor in the Bay Area and what (real estate related) accomplishments are you most proud of?

I have been a Realtor in the East Bay for over 10 years, focusing on Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, and beyond.

Because of my background, I have had the privilege to serve the Japanese communities throughout the East Bay. As a Realtor with over a decade of experience, my knowledge and expertise of the Bay Area real estate market, as well as my formative years in Japan have helped eliminate language and cultural barriers to ensure my clients journey to sell or buy properties is smooth and stress-free.

I am proud of helping seniors, who decide to move back to Japan after spending so many years in the US, sell their homes. I am very happy to find homes for newcomers to the Bay Area, who are excited to start a journey toward their American dream. Their smile at the end of their transaction is priceless.

Sell us. Why the San Francisco Bay Area?

When I was a college student in Kobe, Japan, I made a month-long trip to the US and visited Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, New York, Boston, and Miami. Among them, I thought San Francisco was a city where I could picture myself living. Two years later, I came back to the San Francisco Bay Area and have made it my second home. What can I say? It’s beautiful and the people are wonderful.

Give it up. Where is your favorite secret (or not so secret) destination in the Bay Area?

I enjoy walking my Beagles, and they are especially happy when we go to a park that allows them to be off-leash. My favorite park is just about a mile away from my home, the Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve. Run by the East Bay Regional Park District, it’s over 900 acres and has many trails that allow your dogs to roam freely as long as they’re under control of your voice. Woof-woof!

Complete this sentence: In my free time....

In my free time, I love taking care of my garden. Every year I tackle a few projects to make it better. I have a garden studio, a small sitting area, and terraced planting area so far. I plant new flowers every year to add more colors and it is becoming nice. Gardening is very satisfying.
